I was so fond of this image, I made it my laptop background. I enjoy sharing, so I uploaded it full-size for anyone else who might be fond of it as well!
One of my best friends is getting married, and I happened to be there the day she tried on the dress. Yes, that one. Of course it was not the first dress she tried on, but that's all part of the process... The expressions tell the story here, and the reflections made it easy to catch everyone's honest opinion, even when no one asked for it.
After the engagement session at the airport, I invited Hannah and Judah to a few more locations in Indiana. We explored the walkway of a local eatery called The Train Station Restaurant and then walked over to the exterior of an amazing blue auto parts garage-thus completing the travel theme of "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". Afterwards, we still had some energy left so we went to an additional location-a beautiful old red brick building. Any photographer knows that you cannot pass up the opportunity to shoot portraits in front of a red brick wall! We wrapped up the session at The Commonplace, a coffeeshop where Hannah is employed, where I grabbed a few more shots (and a mocha) before retiring for the day. I had a great time and look forward to working with them in the future!
Hannah and Judah spend a lot of time traveling... She is from Pennsylvania, he is from India, they met in Germany, and after the wedding, they plan on moving to England! After all that travel time, you would think they would avoid planes like the plague, but I thought that by incorporating the theme of travel, it would make their engagement session all the more special. There is a local airport in Indiana and, at first, they were confused-"Why would anyone want to take engagement photos here?!"-but Hannah was thrilled! She even coordinated with me to plan the photo session as a surprise for Judah! How cool!
I really enjoyed documenting Tiffany and Adam's wedding. Apparently Tiffany had everyone praying for snow and her prayers were answered! The falling snow gave the photos a certain sense of dreaminess, the perfect touch to a lovely December wedding. Hope your move to England went well... Cheers!
